Single ratio metal gearbox with 250:1 gear ratio and 1.5 to 3V voltage rating, suitable for a host of model and light industrial applications. These gearboxes are constructed from steel and brass and housed in a protective plastic cover which prevents ingress of dust and dirt and protects the user against accidental contact with the gears. The motor is fitted with a bracket with four fixing holes for easy mounting to a flat surface.

A voltage regulator employing pulse width modulation is also available, allowing infinitely variable motor rpm to be set.

Q. The torque figures given look very low and do not increase with gear ratio as would be expected. Is the torque figure that of the motor rather than the output of the gearbox shaft? If so, it is not very useful as the gearbox output torques are needed for any application design calculation.

A. Hi David, thank you for your question. It looks like the torque figures are that on the motor output and seem to be listed also for the gearbox output, the data sheet is all the manufacturer seems to offer.
