20 March 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 37-1091
Q. Excuse my limited knowledge but I would have expected a motor with a higher gear ratio to have a higher torque. E.g the motor 37-1104 is listed to have the same torque as 37-1091? Is this correct?
A. Hi Brendan. Thank you for your question. This torque rating is at the maximum efficiency so this measurement is shown for each motor but they will be at different RPM and current rating, so they all meet this specification at a point in their running but the torque rating will vary for each motor at a different RPM and current rating. The table on the web site does not show this very clearly but if you look in the data sheets, it is more obvious.
