Data Sheets

Introducing the 'PE Socket', the first product to integrate Powerline data networking technology directly into an electrical socket.  The PE Socket takes advantage of a building’s existing electrical wiring to create a high-speed and secure data network for connecting computers, VoIP phones, multimedia set-top boxes, Internet-connected TVs, CCTV and other IP enabled devices.

The PE Sockets have been designed for installing in a minimum 35mm deep UK or Irish double gang metal back box.  Two or more PE Sockets are required in order to create a Powerline network.  The network is very easy to set up as all PE Sockets are designed to automatically link to each other.

The power outlets must be electrically connected sharing the same power phase in order for the PE Sockets to provide a network connection between them.

  • Simple networking solution designed to enable electricians to start specifying and installing data networks
  • Ideal in both commercial and residential buildings
  • Removes the need to run additional cables: uses the mains cables already in the building
  • No need for additional specialist cabling or networking knowledge
  • Internet access everywhere without blackspots commonly found with WiFi network
  • Easy to expand: simply add more Power Ethernet Sockets

Installed two units into my office to extend my existing network. Easy to install and no need to move furniture or have a network engineer in charging me hundreds of pounds. Works great and I will be installing more when needed.
