These right-angled latch headers have been manufactured to a very high specification and are used worldwide. The female connector is designed to be used to connect a ribbon cable using IDC technology to peripherals from printed circuit boards.
A polarising bump at the centre of the insulating housing eliminates contact damage caused by improper mating. The locking latches secure the connection against inadvertent release due to vibration or shock.
