This handy kit containing a butane gas-powered soldering iron will solve your soldering problems when mains power is unavailable. Fitted with a hot air tip and deflector, the iron's tough nylon body contains a gas reservoir which can hold sufficient fuel for approximately two hours continuous use before refilling, with gas ignition by means of a built-in piezo lighter. The tip temperature is variable, and regulated by a nylon gas flow adjuster at the base of the unit.
Also supplied in the convenient plastic carry-case is a 2.4mm and 4.8mm chisel tip, hot knife tip, blow torch and tip cleaning sponge.
Applications include heavy-duty soldering, localised brazing, heat shrink tubing, lead work repairs, cutting and sealing nylon rope.
