This 3D printing project kit from Kideville is an innovative and creative Design and Technology curriculum kit for primary and secondary schools, allowing the opportunity to design and build a city which is entirely planned and constructed by children. Through a simplified design process, students go through the following stages of what promises to be an engaging and fun design journey:
Idea generation, brainstorming and sketching
Idea development and detailed drawing
Simple model making and prototyping
Introduction to computer 3D software and design
3D printing of the kids' designs and seeing the outcomes
Kideville urban planning and collective city assembly
Experiencing the results and connecting the virtual and the physical worlds
Whilst each student has their own role and responsibility within the city, the whole class needs to work collaboratively to deliver the best group result, while delivering teachers a full term of lessons or refill kits which replenish all of the consumable parts ready for the next group of students to use.
