Adafruit 1549 USB Power Gauge Kit Current Draw, BUS Voltage and Power Use

This power gauge kit is a USB port go-between that acts as a quick and simple meter for reading current draw from the port as well as BUS voltage and power useage. The meter features a reprogrammable microcontroller, analog output, TTL serial output for debugging/datalogging and is ideal for seeing the charge rate of a phone or tablet, checking battery chargers, or other USB powered projects.

The meter has a strip of status LEDs. a strip of blue LEDs indicate power draw, 1x for each Watt. A green LED stays lit when voltage is higher than than 4.5V, often the threshold of effective charging.
