Q. Does the switch cut the power when you take your foot off it, or is it a press once to switch on and press again to switch off type?
A. Hi John, thank you for your question. The switch operates the socket once for "on" and again for "off".

Damn useful thing! Blue light is on when an appliance is switched on. Saves my 86 year old dad from bending down. Arrived very quickly too. Would only be better if the foot-light switch stayed on then you could see it in the dark.
