When it comes to respiratory and eye protection, these are the major factors to consider when contemplating the correct safety equipment.
Whether it is dust, airborne droplets, UV rays or the potential for sharp items making contact with the eyes or mouth, we have a range of goggles, safety glasses, face masks and shields offering different levels of protection.
The EU standard covering the requirements of protective eyewear is EN166:2001. All equipment displaying EN 166 has passed a series of performance tests. Look for this standard on all PPE eyewear. Our range includes eyewear from leading PPE brands such as JSP and 3M. Spectacles and goggles need to protect the individual from foreign objects such as dust and dangerous substances as well as the long term effect of sunlight.
While no longer mandatory, face coverings will still be worn in many indoor environments, and we still hold stock of Type IIR medical face masks and FFP2 particle filtering masks, which have been proven to reduce the risk of viral transmission to very low levels.
