This 13cm diameter moulded wheel has 4 grooves of different diameters in the ratios 1, 3, 5 & 7. It is ideal for demonstrating how a change in diameter changes the performance of a system, e.g., torque and speed.


  • Wide and flat bottomed grooves ensure an exact diameter for each step
  • Each groove has a small hole to retain the end of a cord
  • Back of the wheel is hollow to minimize mass and inertia
