Using the power of ultrasonic technology, Telemecanique's ultrasonic sensors detect many types of material, regardless of colour or light ambience

Ultrasonic sensors are useful for measuring objects at very close distances – so close that if other traditional proximity sensors were used they may damage the sensor or the moving parts of the application, causing significant mechanical downtime.

Telemecanique’s OsiSense XXV ultrasonic sensor range allows detection up to 50mm (2½ times further than standard products on the market), regardless of material, colour or light ambience. A choice of variants are available, dependent on specific application requirements, such as cylindrical or flat bodies, plastic or stainless steel material, discrete or analogue output signal.

Operators can define the effective sensing range, avoiding foreground or background detection perturbation.
