This fume cabinet is a small desktop unit that is ideal for use within dental labs/design technology workshops, pharmaceutical labs and other areas of the classroom and workshop. Filtration is carried out by a 15 to 20 micron pre-filter followed by a 3.5kg high grade bonded carbon filter for hydrocarbon (organic solvent, gas) adsorption. It is this process of filtration, absorption and dilution that vastly reduces or eliminates operator exposure to potentially hazardous substances.

Additional features of this fume cabinet include a clear PETG plastic fume hood and a powerful radial blower. A Hinged lid, in the hood, assists in safely and easily positioning items such as weighing scales and the like. Activities such as the weighing and handling of potentially harmful powders/particulates, applying adhesives, cleaning solvents, soldering and using small grinding tools, etc. is carried out safely within the hood and the cleaned air is vented to atmosphere at the rear right of the cabinet.

Q. Hello please can you help, is this fume cupboard suitable for the use of toluene and what is the lifespan of the carbon filters? Regards Mark
A. Hi Mark, thank you for your question. The unit is suitable for most paint and solvents. The life expectancy of the filter depends on usage. Usually it is recommended to change the filters at least every 6 months.
