The DR-05 is a portable linear PCM audio recorder that has a built-in omnidirectional stereo condenser microphone setup that will capture high quality audio and save it, in 24-bit MP3 or WAV format, to the onboard 2GB microSD card. The recorder produces a natural sound independent of the sound source position and the recording level can be either automatically controlled via AGC or can be set manually.
Additional features include a function that stores recording so that up to 2 seconds can be captured prior to pressing the record button. A timer facility enable recording to be delayed for 5 or 10 seconds after the record button is pressed. Set points allow up to 99 positions per file to be placed to facilitate accessing certain places. A Flash Back function is provided for jumping back a specific amount (1 - 10, 20, 30s). Unwanted noise can be be removed via the cut function, which also allows long recordings to be split (WAV only).
