Q. Hi If I was to provide a DC power source of 12v 1 Amp from a model railway controller, what resistor would I need to wire in series to ensure that I can keep the power switched on without over heating a 4" long SMART WIRE How many can I power simultaneously from this power source. Many thanks John

A. Hi John. Thank you for your question. Each 4" bit can handle up to 180mA so you would be able to power a maximum of 11 off a 2 amp power supply.

Q. Hi, Does this product work by being bent out of shape manually then heated to return to a straight line ? Would it work in hot water ? Many Thanks.

A. Hi Rebecca. Thank you for your question. This smart wire is designed to respond to an electrical current, so is unlikely to have any effect in hot water.
