Q. Does this power supply come with a mains lead? if it does not, is that the case for all similar types of power supply.
A. Hi Ian, thank you for your question. These desktops are not supplied with the mains lead. 23-7497 is a suitable mains cordset.

Perfect for Raspberry Pi when more power is needed

This PSU powers my Raspberry Pi and a USB hard disk via a simple 5 volts splitter cable that I made. Most laptop-type disks drives want a bit more power than the Pi can deliver through its USB ports, so I used an external USB HDD enclosure (CIT) that has an extra power input on it. The Pi can use the disk happily, with plenty of power left over for other peripherals. I'm really happy with the result.
