The Orbit Proview DNA Model is a high-quality model from Cochrane's of Oxford
which helps understand the chemistry that controls life, while engaging and
educating at the same time.
When fully-built, the model makes an
impressive display and teaching resource, being 85cm high and 40cm wide. The
model kit includes a set of wooden plates for suspending the model. The top
plate needs to be set on a suitable stand (e.g. a 90cm laboratory stand, not
included) or hung from a suitable hook. Pupils can make up the subassemblies:
Thymine-Adenine; Cytosine-Guanine, sugar rings and phosphate groups, which are
then brought together to make the finished model.
