These are only zinc chloride batteries so they wont have the same capacity as an alkaline, but for low current applications they work well. I use these in my multimeter and infra-red thermometer as they only need about 2ma of current when on and they aren't used that much. These would also perform well in smoke alarms due to the 5ua current draw. When new out of the packet they read approximately 10.02volts and they feel well made. I will definitely buy these again. They were also delivered in less than a day! Safe to say Rapid is where i will be going from now on - or at least for 9v batteries.
