Q. Can it dectect pipework behind tiles?
A. Yes the wood/metal/voltage detector can detect pipework behind tiles due to a distance sensor.

Q. Will this instrument detect live cables in a plastered wall.
A. Thanks for your enquiry Colin. Yes it will, the unit has a sensitivity setting dependent on the depth of the wall. We just tried one of the units and it detected power cables from quite a distance.
