BeagleCore 512MB RAM 4GB Flash 1 GHz Open Source Processor Boards & Starter Kit

<P>The <STRONG>BeagleCore computer module</STRONG> puts the power and connectivity of the BeagleBone Black design in to a compact package built to industry standards, just right for your next IoT (Internet of Things) or embedded project. The board is fully Open Source under the Creative Commons Share Alike licence (CC-BY-SA 3.0) which means you are free to modify this design and <STRONG>use it even in a commercial product</STRONG>. BeagleCore is fully compatible with the BeagleBone Black; you can transfer your prototype hardware and software from the BeagleBone to the BeagleCore and it will still work. The design philosophy for the <STRONG>BCM1 computer module</STRONG> is to match the core functions of the BeagleBone and allow you to embed it with your own baseboard including only the connectors you need. Maybe you don't need the HDMI socket, but you do need more USB ports, it's your call. The <STRONG>BCS1 starter/development kit</STRONG> for the BCM1 consists of a BCM1 and a baseboard which carries the IO connectors for HDMI, USB, Ethernet, etc.. It has 2 x 46-pin headers which are compatible with BeagleBone Black capes if you need extra functionality.</P><P>The <STRONG>BCM1 ETR </STRONG>computer module is the same as the BCM1 but with an extended operating temperature range.</P><P><STRONG>The hardware specification</STRONG> includes a Texas Instruments AM335x Cortex-A8 Sitara processor running at 1GHz, 512Mbytes of DDDR3 RAM and 4Gbytes of eMMC flash memory. Its standard ports include 1 x 10/100Mbit Ethernet, 1 x USB 2.0 host and client, 1 x SDIO (for SD memory cards), 1 x UART / 1 x JTAG (for debugging) and up to 59 x GPIO for HDMI, CAN, I2C, etc..</P><P><STRONG>The software and downloads</STRONG>. The BeagleCore runs the same operating system (OS) software as the BeagleBone boards including Debian, Android and Ubuntu. There is a comprehensive <A href="">getting started guide</A> which also includes links to the latest OS images. And because the BCM1 is fully Open Source you can <A href="">download the schematics</A>, BoM, etc. from their Github repository.</P>
