The Alpha 8 is an IP66 rated, flat blade quad-band GSM and 3G antenna, well suited to a wide variety of environments and applications. Its slim, low profile design means it will fit discreetly onto most surfaces, whether that be on top of an energy meter or on the side of telemetry equipment. The body of the Alpha 8 is fully sealed so that an IP66 rating is achieved, making this waterproof quad band and 3G antenna ideal for wet environments such as water metering, sub-terrain-based applications, coastal remote monitoring and many others where pressured water exposure is likely.
The Alpha 8 is tuned to quad band GSM / GPRS & 3G / UMTS frequencies, making it a very mainstream performer. Its wide operating frequency band allows for worldwide cellular applications over the quad band GSM / GPRS networks as well as high data transfer rates via 3G/UMTS, supported by a peak gain of 2dBi. The Alpha 8 is Siretta's antenna of choice for GSM / 3G applications that require a discreet and waterproof solution.
