Rapid Electronics is delighted to have been shortlisted in the category of Distributor of the Year at the Elektra Awards 2015.
Presented by Electronics Weekly, the
Elektra Awards are the biggest in the UK electronics industry, celebrating the innovation and success of individuals and businesses. This is the first time that Rapid has been nominated in the Distributor category in these prestigious awards. The other nominated companies in the Distributor of the Year category are: Digi-Key, Farnell element14, Mouser Electronics, RS Components, Solid State Supplies and TTI.

It has been a great year at Rapid, during which time we have comprehensively achieved all our sales, stock and customer acquisition targets, as we continue to focus on providing the highest quality service for our diverse range of customers, especially the SME sector."
Over the last 12 months Rapid has vastly expanded its electronic, electrical and E-Mech product ranges. The company has signed franchised distribution agreements with major manufacturers such as EDAC, Schurter, Cherry, Phoenix Contact, Apem, WAGO and Siretta among others and continued to develop its existing partnerships. Between July 2014 and June 2015 Rapid increased its product inventory from 89,000 to 128,000 lines – the single biggest leap in stockholding in the company’s history.
The awards will be held on November 24th at a gala dinner at the Lancaster London Hotel.
