MPU-controlled power supplies lock in voltage and current

MPU-controlled power supplies lock in voltage and current
It happens - you’ve adjusted the knob dial on a power supply and left the room. When you return the dial has been moved and is no longer feeding the correct voltage or current for your application.

Now available at Rapid is a range of ‘double digital’ bench top power supplies which lock in the key parameters of voltage and current. Why double digital? Because not only do these devices include digital LED displays, they also incorporate a digital keypad. Rather than twiddling a knob to set voltage and current, users can lock in the variable settings.

Available in single and triple output models, these linear mode variable DC power supplies use microprocessor technology to allow the adjustment of current and voltage through push button technology rather than dials. The controls are splash and dirt resistant and once set cannot be changed accidentally. The CPU constantly monitors and stabilizes the current and voltage parameters, stores the previous output setting and offers users a convenient working interface.

Key features include:

  • Output value can be set precisely – no more floating
  • Microprocessor control
  • Serial and parallel tracking function (dual/triple series only)
  • Voltage and current dual display
  • Shining bright back light for LED display
  • Last setting memorizing after power off
  • Dimensions: 365 x 265 x 164mm; 291 x 158 x 136mm
  • Accuracy 2.5%
  • Output current: 0 to 3A or 0 to 5A
  • Output voltage: 0 to 30V or 0 to 50V

Available under Rapid’s own brand, the model numbers of the power supplies are: HY3003M, HY3005M, HY5003M, HY3003M-3 and HY3005M-3.
