This JustBoom Amp audio board can take your input and provide a 2 x 55W amplified stereo output, and when you connect to a set of passive speakers you'll be enjoying crystal-clear, high quality audio.
An onboard advance Class-D power amplifier drives the audio through two speaker cable connector blocks (up to 14 AWG) into 4 or 8Ω passive speakers.
This board can be used as a standalone audio amplifier, or you can stack it with the JustBoom DAC HAT (
75-0872) or DAC standalone board (
75-0875) to create a complete audio system.
The board has a 2.1mm jack power input that can accept an 8 to 24V power supply. When stacked on the JustBoom DAC standalone board it can backpower the DAC board, and when stacked on the JustBoom DAC HAT it can backpower both the DAC HAT and the Raspberry Pi too (at 2.5A for full Pi 3 compatibility) meaning you only need a single power supply for the entire system.
