12 October 2018 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. is there any terminal blocks which would work with this for input/outputs
A. Hi Dan, thank you for your question. 21-4007 can be used.

04 November 2016 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. Does this project kit include the LED and download socket etc.?
A. Hi ElectricityUser, thank you for your question. Yes they are included, self assembly is required.

06 November 2015 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. Hi, Do all of your Genie kits now contain the new upgraded processors as described on the Genie website? See: http://www.genieonline.com/components/ Regards, David
A. Hi David, thank you for your question. We can confirm this kit is now supplied with the new version 2 of the Genie processor.

21 June 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. HI . can the C20 Genie run 4 servo motors together . Thanks
A. Hi Barney. Thank you for your question. This board would be able to control 4 servos - it has 4 outputs but will only switch them on and off, it would not control the directions.

18 April 2013 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. Hi, what is the difference between the Genie C20 and the PIC16F677? I have made a board out for the C20 pinout diagram.
A. Hi electro user. Thank you for your question. The genie chips contain a bootstrap program to allow you to program the chip via a simple USB cable. PIC16F677 would be a standard (no genie) blank PIC. Only genie chips will work with genie. PIC16F66 would require a special programmer and software. Also it wouldn't be easy to program as they use assembly language rather than flowcharts that you see in genie.

13 October 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. what pin should I use to connect the LCD to the C20 pcb please?
A. Hi Joseph, thanks for your question. You should use outputs 0 or 1 for the LCD on the C20. Connect direct to Genie not through the driver. You should connect the LCD through the row of holes between the chips.

29 April 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. I own some par lights that operate on 11.6v AC and I would like to control them using this board can you recommend a suitable relay other then 60-4483 thanks Harry
A. Hi Harry, the output from the Genie board should be 5V. Depending on the current required by the PAR lamps – 60-4623 might be sufficient.

29 February 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. I have rather enjoyed working with this kit, but wonder if there is an alternative processor available with the capability of storing larger programs as some of the more complex ones that I have managed to create have exceeded the download capacity.
A. Thanks for your enquiry Gerald. I'm afraid the next version up is the 13-6005 but this will not fit.

17 January 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. If I wanted to control a series of items each running on 24V AC and lets say 2 amps max to be on the safe side, could you recommend suitable relays that this controller could work with?
A. Hi Gerard, this is the part we recommend: 60-4483

17 January 2012 Question by: Rapid Customer | Product code: 13-6017
Q. Does the controller chip hold the downloaded program when the power is removed?
A. Hi Gerard, thanks for your question. Yes, the program is held once the power is removed.
