This optical touch switch uses a photoelectric sensor to produce an ergonomic actuator suitable for a wide variety of applications. The switch is simply operated by touch, interrupting the two-beam axes light beams, and the overall design and performance of the sensor ensures that there are no false actuations due to dirt, dust, foreign objects, accidental droppages, etc.
There are three output modes, giving choice of output on detection or on non-detection and the sensor is equipped with external input indicators that may be used operation indicators for a variety of purposes. The sensor is designed to provide greater convenience and better ergonomics, reducing operator hand and finger strain and reducing the possibility of medical problems associated with high-use, high-impact push buttons.
