A mother has praised an educational product for helping her teach her daughter about the practical side of science.
The Discover Electronics! Kit was reviewed by Jenny Williams for Wired magazine, who said that she was "impressed" by the easy-to-understand layout of the product, which labels resistors, capacitors and other components clearly.
The box also has useful information such as resistor colour codes, capacitor values and circuit diagram symbols and will teach children about basic board designs, allowing them to go on to create their own projects.
"As you move past the first couple of basic projects, the guide instructs you on how to create circuits in series or in parallel and how to compute the resistance for them. It also describes how to charge and discharge a capacitor," Ms Williams explained.
The Independent recently reviewed the TechSmiths educational product, Camtasia Studio 2, which can create a video of the actions of a computer user, making it easier for ICT teachers to instruct pupils on how to perform specific tasks.
Rapid Electronics is a leading UK supplier of educational products, electrical products and teaching resources to the primary, secondary and higher Education sector.
