Two amateur radio societies will be celebrating the release of a new film discussing the popular hobby by broadcasting from a new code.
The Barking Radio & Electronics Society and the Loughton & Epping Forest Amateur Radio Society will be sending signals out from Hanbury Hall in London this weekend (October 24th to 25th) from the code GB2TI.
The event will form part of the This is Not a Gateway festival, which will also see a screening of Tune In, a short film about amateur radio by Esther Johnson, Southgate Amateur Radio Club (SARC) reports.
SARC encouraged interested parties to attend the festival, and advised enthusiasts to get to the building by 10 am on Saturday to make the most of it.
Albert Garforth, an amateur radio enthusiast from Greater Manchester, recently received a medal for helping to decipher German communications during the second world war, the BBC reported.
