Q. Will these produce sound when a voltage is applied to them (like a buzzer) or do they have to have a driver circuit which sends a pulsed signal to them?

A. Hi Neil, thank you for your question .Yes these require a driver circuit signal rather than like a buzzer which only requires voltage.
