FG-30 use

Having recently bought a SFG-1013 DDS Function Generator (90-6093) (See Review) and my Wavetec model 132 Function Generator is really showing its age. Time for a new sweep generator for checking Intermodulation products in PLLs and Analog to Digital Convertors. The FG-30 3MHz Function Generator, 6 Function, 6 Range (85-2008) combined with my custom built Noise source covers all my requirements and more! The additional Sweep output Voltage is used with my old analog scope in X/Y mode to display the sweep results. As a bonus the Sweep voltage modulates the clock of my custom noise source. Summing up;- For Profesionals and Hobbists the specifications and overall performance fits all of my requirements at a compedative price. Ideal for Low Frequency RF and Analog signal source use, most other sweep generators have frequencys well above my requirements and to many "bells and whistles"
