In this access point the latest MIMO (multiple input and multiple output) technology is incorporated to enhance Wi-Fi coverage and eliminate dead spots in the signal range. If this wireless access point is connected to wireless devices with IEEE 802.11n, it can reach Wi-Fi speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s.
WDS bridge mode (Repeater Mode)
The WDS (Wireless Distributed System) function lets the access point simultaneously act as a wireless access point and repeater. The user can use this feature to build up a large wireless network in large spaces such as airports, hotels and schools. This feature is also useful when users want to bridge networks between buildings where it is not feasible to lay a network cable between buildings.
Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button
Edimax EW-7428HCn has a convenient WPS button, which allows users to establish an encrypted wireless connection. The WPS button also helps users to set up the wireless network with a single press in less than a minute.
Optional power supply
The extender contains a PoE PD module and a power socket for normal network adaptor. To power the access point, users can connect to a PoE switch or an AC adaptor either.
