RVFM Crime Scene Lab Investigation

Examine the physical evidence at a crime scene and gather evidence performing various tests to analyze the evidence gathered.

• Provides students with a scenario and crime scene from which they will gather evidence
• Students will take their evidence back to the Forensics Lab to conduct various tests to analyse
• Check the evidence of hair and fibres, shoeprints, blood, chromosome and DNA, stomach contents and tool-marks
• Includes everything students need to set up a variety of scenarios and crime scenes
• Includes suggestions on how to effectively integrate the skills learned into your curriculum
• Identify the crimes victim through dental records and fingerprints
• Perform tests to determine the cause of death
• Analyse evidence to determine a suspect
• Contains sufficient materials for up to 40 students working in groups of 5
• Suitable for Key Stages 3, 4 & A Level (ages 11 to 18)
