The USBwave12 is a PC based, isolated function generator that offers the benefits of flexibility, ease of use and economy. It combines a very small form factor with the high performance normally associated with much larger and more expensive bench instruments. This unit has been designed to allow the generation of a broad range of waveforms and output frequencies. Due to its Direct Digital Synthesis (DDS) design and comprehensive, programmable feature set this unit is an ideal tool for many applications. A feature of this unit, and with the other units in the Elan USB range, is the ability to be stacked together. This facility means that, for example, two USBwave12 units may be stacked together to create a dual channel function generator that has outputs that are synchronised and phase shifted. Furthermore it is possible to stack together differing types of test equipment so that any combination of test requirements, e.g. a synchronised function generator and frequency counter, is achie
