The PSA2701T is an entirely new type of precision test equipment. Incorporating a handheld computer within its housing this compact and lightweight instrument provides a level of performance that is incomparable to other units of similar costs. A Palm T|X handheld computer is utilised as the core of an integrated system that results in a highly functional 2.7GHz spectrum analyser which is ideal for use both in the field and on the bench. Applications for this unit include traditional RF field measurements, EMC evaluations, product development and servicing, RFID measurements, frequency domain evaluation, etc. All the functionality of the handheld computer is retained meaning that as well as the comprehensive spectrum analyser facilities, the instrument also has many other uses such as word processing, spreadsheet, calendar, media player plus web and email via Bluetooth and WiFi.
