A professional quality PTC 20W 24V soldering iron ideally suited to the demands of both industrial and educational environments.

  • The positive thermal coefficient (PTC) element has a precision wound heater wire at the end of a stainless steel barrel, to ensure maximum temperature as close to the working surface of the tip as possible
  • Rapid heat-up time of approx 70 seconds and instant heat recovery
  • Ventilated neoprene finger grip ensures both comfort and cool working conditions even under the most demanding production conditions
  • Fully earthed
  • Supplied with 1.8 metres of silicone cable (particularly useful in schools and colleges) terminated with an industry standard miniature 3-way socket
  • A low voltage power supply is available (order code 85-0795) or the iron can be powered from any 24V 20W power source
  • Supplied with a 1.6mm bit
  • A range of long-life iron-plated bits are available separately
  • Change of bits is made very easy by employing a threaded barrel cover which unscrews to release the bit
  • A suitable heavy-duty stand (order code 85-0586) is available for the iron
