Thermistors

Thermistors are, as the name suggests, resistors that are dependent on heat and act as temperature sensors. There are two kinds of thermistor – negative temperature coefficient (NTC), which reduces resistance as temperature increases, and positive temperature coefficient (PTC), where the resistance increases as the sensor gets warmer.
