The PICkit 2 is a low-cost development kit with an easy to use interface for programming many of Microchip's baseline, mid range and PIC18F families of flash-based microcontrollers. The kit provides everything needed to program, evaluate and develop applications including demo board supporting 8,14, and 20-pin mid-range PICs, USB-powered programmer, USB cable, user guide CD-ROM and MPLAB IDE (Integrated Development Environment).

Designed to get the user up to speed quickly with PIC microcontrollers
Includes 12 tutorials covering I/O interrupts, A/D converters, data tables and timers
In Circuit Debugging support for selected devices in the MPLAB IDE
