The Color Line system from CML-IT enables the creation of innovative lighting effects that combine stunning looks with outstanding practicality for use, both indoors and outdoors, in industrial, retail and home environments. The rigid light guide is easily coupled with light engines in a choice of colours, making an extensive number of possible uses for Color Line, with areas of application including: Decorative illumination for display cabinets, exhibition stands, illuminated drawer interiors, bar areas. Safety use in escape route lighting and staircase illumination and illumination of hazardous areas in theatres, cinemas, super casinos, helicopter landing pads, hospital wards. Accent or low light ambient lighting in the home or retail establishment and signage that can be easily and quickly adjusted to form a different sign, yet looks like an expensive retro style neon sign. The light guides have a solid gel core made from optically pure case acrylic monomers clad with a sheath of Teflon, ensuring flexibility and superior light transmission, and due to their inert nature, these guides are rugged and are impervious and resistant to solvents and UV light. The light guides may be cut, formed and bent into many shapes and sizes. These light guides have a built-in reflector strip which directs the light to give either a 60° or 90° viewing angle, dependent on diameter. The light engines have been designed to work with both the rigid and flexible light guides, with either a single engine being used or with an engine at each end of the light guide, increasing light output.
