QWhat size resister is needed is series for 5v supply.
AHi Keith, Thanks for your question. This Led will use a 3.6V supply for ideal results – so 1.4V needs to “lost” across the resistor. Using 40mA as the current (80% of max) gives an ideal value of 35 Ohm, and a 0.125W power rating is more than adequate. The next highest resistor value is u39 Ohm in the 0.25W range.
