ST has produced the STM32 Primer as an introduction to the 32-bit STM32 with ARM Cortex-M3 core microprocessor.
It is an innovative, low-cost evaluation and development package that is fun and interesting to use whilst still providing a platform for learning and evaluation.
The unit features an attractive, ergonomic design with MEMS-based controls and LCD display that makes navigation easy, simply by tilting the unit left, right, forward or back.
The included demonstration firmware has a graphical user interface and various games, making it a fun unit to use, as well as having pre-installed configuration and test applications that enable a full evaluation of the units capabilities.
As well as the maze and breakout games that come pre-installed on the unit, more applications may be added by downloading them from the projects pages at www.stm32circle.com.
The unit has two USB connectors that allow connection for application development and debugging using the Ride7 integrated development environment, downloadable from the ST website.
