The Epson Toyocom RTC-7301SF and RTC-7301DG modules are 4-bit parallel interface real-time clocks that have a built-in 32.768kHz crystal oscillator.
Their multi-function design includes such features as an automatically adjusting Clock and Calendar circuit, alarm and timer interrupt functions and time update detector.
Additional features include a digital pace adjustment function for setting the accuracy of the clock and a temperature sensor which enables a more accurate clock system (RTC-7301SF only).
The 4-bit parallel interface is compatible with S-RAM, making connection easier and enabling the possibility of high speed data communication.
The design and packaging of these devices make them ideal for use in applications such as computers, facsimiles, multi-function telephone systems, sequencers, and various types of control equipment.
