The Epson Toyocom RTC-62421A and RTC-62423A modules are 4-bit parallel interface real-time clocks that can be connected directly to a microprocessor bus.
These devices feature a built-in crystal unit that enables highly accurate timekeeping with adjustment-free operation and reduced costs due to removing the need for connection to external components.
In addition to their time and calendar functions these modules feature 30s correction and fixed period interrupt functions.
These devices are direct drop-in replacements for MSM6242 types.
These devices are ideally suited for use in applications requiring timing management, such as personal computers, dedicated word-processors, fax machines, multifunction telephones and sequencers.
