This device is a fully integrated, fully protected 600V half-bridge ballast control IC that incorporates PFC control and is designed to drive all types of fluorescent lamp. A comprehensive feature set includes programmable preheat & run frequencies, programmable preheat time & programmable end-of-life protection. The device is fully protected with features such as protection from failure of a lamp to strike, filament failures, end-of-life protection and DC bus undervoltage reset.

  • Good VBUS regulation voltage tolerance
  • Duty cycle 50%
  • DC bus regulation ±2.5%
  • End-of-life window comparator pin
  • Internal up/down current-sense fault counter
  • DC bus undervoltage reset
  • Automatic restart function
  • Lamp removal/auto-restart shutdown pin
  • Internal bootstrap MOSFET
  • Internal 15.6V zener clamp diode on VCC
  • Micropower startup (250µA)
  • Latch immunity and ESD protection
  • Housed in a DIL-16 package
