This Hygrochron iButton is a versatile, self-sufficient system that is used for the measurement and recording of temperature and/or humidity. Data transfer is effected via a 1-Wire protocol.

The rate of measurement can be user-defined, and reading are stored in 8K of data log memory. Up to 8192 8-bit or 4096 16-bit readings can be taken at equidistant intervals ranging from 1s to 273 hours. The device has additional 512 bytes of SRAM for storing application-specific information and a further 64 bytes for calibration data.

Measurement can be programmed to begin immediately, or after a user-defined delay or temperature alarm.

Suitable applications for this device include: temperature and humidity logging in food preparation and processing, transportation of temperature and humidity-sensitive goods, industrial production, warehouse monitoring, environmental studies/monitoring.
