These modules are specifically designed to capture, accumulate and store electrical power that is gathered from various, widely available waste energy sources that operate by such means as vibration, light, chemical reaction, fluid and air flow, environmental heat. The stored energy is then used to power conventional equipment such as wireless network equipment, remote controls and other devices that require freedom from the constraints of fixed power sources.
The modules are self-powered and are always actively harvesting energy from sources generating intermittent waste energy. Operation begins at 0.0V and, because the module uses zero power for its operation, any energy charge that is gathered is effectively used. Additionally, minimal leakage and loss together with energy management means that the device is very efficient as a power supply.
