The SA602AN is a low-power, VHF, monolithic, double-balanced mixer that also has an input differential amplifier, on-board oscillator and a voltage regulator.
This device has been designed for high performance, low power communication systems. The gain, intercept performance, low power and noise characteristics make the SA602AN a superior choice for high performance battery operated equipment.
The mixer is a Gilbert Cell multiplier which typically provides 18dB of gain at 45MHz. The on-board oscillator, which operates at up to 200MHz, can be configured as a crystal oscillator, a tuned tank oscillator or as a buffer for an external LO (local oscillator).
Typical applications for this device include: cellular radio mixer/oscillator, portable radio, VHF transceivers, RF data links, HF/VHF frequency conversion, instrumentation frequency conversion, broadband LANs.
- Low current consumption, typically 2.4mA
- Excellent noise figure typically 4.7dB at 45MHz
- High operating frequency
- Excellent gain, intercept and sensitivity
- Low external parts count - suitable for crystal/ceramic filters
- Meets cellular radio specifications
- On-board 200MHz oscillator
- LO input can be externally driven for higher frequencies
- DIL-8 package
- NXP type SA602AN
