This CMOS key encoder provides all the necessary logic to fully encode an array of 16 SPST key switches. The keyboard scan can be implemented by either an external clock or external capacitor. The IC has on-board pull-up devices which permits the use of switches with up to 50kΩ on resistance to be used.

  • Supplied in a DIL-18 package
