The Chip Factory is an award winning, free-standing microcontroller programmer that enables students to program a microcontroller using a simple BASIC style language without using a PC.

The program is entered into memory using the on-board keypad and display
Programs 8, 18 and 28-pin microcontrollers
Once programming is complete, the microcontroller can be transferred to the Demo board or the Project board
On-board ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) programming socket
Uses safe low-voltage supply (9V DC)
Optional serial connection to a PC (cable supplied)
Printer connection for direct printing without a PC
The kit also comprises a PIC Demo board, which can be used to test the programmed microcontroller and a Project board, which can be piggy-backed into a students own project board
Pack includes a programmer, demo board, 18-pin project board, power supply unit, serial cable, sample PIC16F627 microcontroller and a CD ROM containing manuals and demonstration software
A full version of the software can be purchased separately if required
