AVR JTAG In-circuit emulator

The AVR JTAGICE mkII from Atmel is a versatile in-circuit emulator that has been designed as a powerful development tool for the debugging of all AVR 8-bit RISC microcontrollers having a JTAG interface or debugWIRE interface. The debugWIRE enables on-chip debugging of AVR microcontrollers in small pin count packages, using only a single wire for the debug interface. Using a combination of the JTAGICE mkII and the AVR Studio user interface gives the engineer complete control over the microcontrollers resources, reducing development time by increasing the efficiency of the debugging process. The JTAGICE mkII performs real time emulation of the target microcontroller at a fraction of the cost of traditional emulators.
