TheatreCom by top hex is a professional theatre communications system that allows the backstage crew to communicate discreetly over a wired intercom without interfering with the performance on stage. TheatreCom is simple to connect and there is no complicated setup procedure - simply plug in the pre-made cables press the call button and talk. The intercomm system is designed for temporary or permanent installations and allows up to eight crew members to speak over a wired intercom.

Ideal for use in theatres, schools and halls. It allows the behind the scenes personnel to communicate with each other without disturbing the artistes, meaning lighting, sound, curtains and props are all working together behind the scenes to deliver a great show.

The simplest and most cost-effective way to start a TheatreCom system is to purchase one of the kits. Rapid Electronics have a basic kit and an enhanced kit to purchase, depending on requirements. The systems are also expandable by adding additional remote units. A TheatreCom installation consists of a mains-powered base station and up to 7 remote units, connected by cables. Base stations and remote units are supplied with a single ear headset although other headphones/microphones can be used provided they meet the technical specification
