Company I work for has had one of these for about 5 years so its not NEW, Ours worked fine then about 18 months ago it lost its ability to stabalize the voltage and the unit operates a relay presumably to change a tap on the transformer but although the relay operates it does not always step the voltage up.
In short - good for the money but may fail and at the low purchase price would probably cost more to repair.
